Long before the start-up of PK Crushing, recycling had become an ingrained philosophy for the folks at Perrin Asphalt & Concrete.
Perrin was actively recycling cardboard and paper generated in its office and was heating its building with the oil replaced in its trucks. It was only natural that the company would develop a plan to recycle the tons of concrete and asphalt removed from work sites that had become a mountain of waste at its dumpsite in Akron, Ohio.
In May 2008, Perrin launched PK Crushing to provide complete concrete and asphalt recycling services, including concrete and asphalt demolition and removal, on-site crushing and recycling. The company now recycles 100% of the asphalt and concrete it removes from work sites and has the capacity to accept material from other asphalt and concrete contractors in Northeast Ohio.
Perrin Asphalt uses recycled aggregate produced by PK Crushing.
The crushed concrete and asphalt are used to produce recycled aggregate (stone base) for new roads, parking lots, driveways, patios, and more.
